Spectrum Miami 2017 Opening Night Recap
The Spectrum Miami Tent was buzzing with excitement last night as we welcomed thousands of collectors, gallery owners, art dealers, and cultural connoisseurs to the Opening Night Preview Party.
Attendees were greeted by James West’s monumental, contemporary outdoor sculpture, a deconstructed garden suspended in air by Noor Blazecovik from Irreversible Projects, and the hottest tracks from New York’s DJ Keith Butler. They sipped on wine and snacked on canapés as they wandered through aisles of whimsical sculpture work, contemporary paintings, landscape photography, and colorfully crafted glassworks—and they weren’t hesitant to take advantage of the opportunity. If you couldn’t make it, don’t worry. We’ll be here all weekend for you to browse and buy from our carefully curated selection of artworks. There’s still plenty of time for you to find your dream piece!
Artist Jason Sauer kicked off the Art Talks and wowed showgoers with a live art demonstration, and portrait photographer Jordan Matter staged his next Dancers After Dark photoshoot right inside Spectrum Miami. There are plenty of other exciting events coming up today through Sunday, including more live art demos, Art Talks, and Meet the Artist sessions. Check out the full show schedule to see all the details.
We’ll keep you posted every day on the latest happenings at the show. Make sure to follow Spectrum Miami on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram for all the latest news and pics. We hope to see you there this weekend! Grab your tickets, which also grant you access to Red Dot Miami next door, if you haven’t already!
