The Art World Comes to Miami in December—and We’ll Be There
Having been part of the Miami community for the past eight years, we are saddened by the trail of damage Hurricane Irma left across South Florida. Our thoughts are with the people affected by the storm—our friends, colleagues, and partners—as they continue to recover and rebuild.
We’ll be there Dec. 6–10 at Miami Art Week to help celebrate the best the contemporary art world has to offer and the resiliency of the people of Florida. To support disaster relief services and help people affected by Hurricane Irma, we encourage you to donate to the American Red Cross.
For a week every December, Miami becomes the epicenter of the art world. Spectrum Miami and Red Dot Miami have become integral parts of Miami Art Week, attracting top galleries and artists, big-name dealers and collectors, and more than 80,000 art aficionados and cultural connoisseurs.
Miami’s Arts & Entertainment District, a 7.5-acre cultural oasis in the heart of the city, sets the stage for both shows. Just minutes from all of Miami’s hottest neighborhoods, including Wynwood, the Design District, Downtown, and South Beach, the Arts & Entertainment District is Miami’s newest cultural gem, boasting hip restaurants, speakeasy-inspired bars, and other exciting nightlife offerings.
Plus, with Art Miami and CONTEXT just blocks away, it’s never been easier for attendees to zip from event to event.
A contemporary art show featuring established artists, galleries, and publishers from around the world, Spectrum Miami is a five-day fine art experience, featuring Art Labs, Art Talks, Meet the Artist sessions, music, entertainment, and other special events.
This year’s curatorial theme is [FUSION]: the merging of artistic mediums, of exhibitors and collectors, and of the countless galleries and artists who come together to showcase their work. Not only do artists actually come to the show, but many also create their next masterpiece on-site, giving you an exclusive peek at the process.
It’s the perfect opportunity to talk to the artists, learn their stories, and take home pieces you love.
